By accessing or using Envolved ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Envolved is an AI-powered document assistant that allows you to upload documents, import content from URLs, and have conversations with your documents using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) technology.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

• Create an account using Google Sign-In
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Be at least 13 years of age
• Maintain the security of your account credentials

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Upload illegal, harmful, or malicious content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Use the Service to harm others or for illegal purposes
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Use automated systems to abuse the Service
• Share your account with others

5. Your Content

Ownership: You retain ownership of all documents and content you upload to the Service.

License: By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you.

Responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and process any content you submit.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and technology, is owned by Envolved and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written consent.

7. Subscription and Payment

Free Tier: We offer a free tier with limited features and capacity.

Paid Plans: Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of your billing period.

Refunds: Refunds are provided at our discretion. Contact support for refund requests.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:

• Perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability
• Modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
• Suspend accounts that violate these Terms

9. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses AI to generate responses based on your documents. You acknowledge that:

• AI responses may contain errors or inaccuracies
• You should verify important information
• We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI responses
• Citations are provided to help you verify information

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the past 12 months

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Envolved from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service ends immediately
• We may delete your account and content
• Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules, except where prohibited by law.
